Your health is your wealth (and your health)

The greatest “wealth is health.”  I believe that but I cannot take credit for the quote. It is attributed to Virgil, an ancient Roman poet. Recognizing the direct correlation between health and wealth should not be overlooked, and I’m not saying money isn’t important, as we all need money to live, but I’m afraid that we take our health for granted at times which can impact our wealth and our ability to live a rich life.

Eating the right types of food and having a healthy lifestyle can improve your hair. Iron is found in a variety of foods, including red meat, beans, kale, and dried fruits such as raisins, cranberries, and apricots. 

If you don't have enough iron in your blood, this can create numerous health problems, particularly in terms of your red blood cells and their ability to carry oxygen. Some of the symptoms of low iron levels include lethargy and shortness of breath, and while it may surprise you, hair loss is also one of the tell-tale signs. 

In fact, your hair follicles need iron to help them grow, and research has shown that being iron deficient can lead to a loss of hair, especially for those who already have a genetic propensity to lose their hair in the future. However, while studies have demonstrated that taking iron supplements can help to prevent hair loss and even help to regrow hair that's fallen out, it's important to consult with your doctor before you begin to add any supplements to your daily regimen.


Stress can also cause hair loss, so you want to take care of yourself and limit the stress you may have in your life. Healthy people save money on medical costs and when we are in good health. Studies have shown that people in good health are able to earn more money and work more productively. 

When you are healthy, you will also tend to have a confident and go-getting attitude which will enable you to succeed in all of your aspirations. Focus on being positive and taking care of yourself and your eating habits. Taking good care of your health can be challenging, but it is important. ▢ 1 bunch kale (finely chopped)

▢ 1/2 cup pecans (coarsely chopped)

▢ 2 tablespoons pumpkin seeds

▢ 1/4 cup cranberries (dried)

▢ 1/4 cup sweet onion (finely chopped)

▢ 2 ounces goat cheese (optional)

▢ 1 tablespoon orange juice (fresh)

▢ 1 tablespoon orange zest

▢ 1 tablespoon maple syrup (pure)

▢ 1/4 cup olive oil

▢ 1/8 teaspoon salt (to taste)

▢ 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
